So in a fit of insanity (i ran out of books to read last week) I picked up a book that was sent to me by a book club by accident.
I read Dry by Augesten Burroughs. I'm not a huge fan of his but damn was this book good. I ate it up in about a day and a half. The story is just too common for one to pass up. I enjoyed it and even during the sad painful parts I didn't put it down. Have you read any of his books? after this, I might actually try another.. we'll see. |

Running With Scissors is not only hysterical but almost hard to believe that it's his LIFE.
I haven't read Dry yet...it's sitting on my bookshelf staring at me as I type. But looks like I have no choice but to pull it down and give it a go! (I have it on good authority that the best of books is Wolf at the Table which is all about Burroughs' father...) |

I think that's why his books are SO good.
I have a copy of the movie that was made for Running With Scissors...I have yet to actually watch it...I'm almost afraid to. hahahah BTW...can I just say...I love love LOVE your 50's retro look...I would KILL to be able to do my hair like yours! <3 |
