wow, a hand tattoo for your 1st ink? more power to ya! i heard the hand does hurt like hell, especially where you're planning on getting it.
really, i've found the best way to gauge whether or not the spot is going to hurt is to pinch the skin where you're getting it.

hand hurts, chest hurts like hell (got both sides of my chest done), triceps hurt a lot (got my right tricep done) spine, ribs and for some people the foot hurt.

post a pic though after you get it done, i'd love to see how it turns out!

I think you might want to do a little research and think on that idea.

If you want in say another year then go for it. Once you do it you are definitely going to be stuck with it for a very long long time.

If it doesn't go well, not like people brag about when they wimp out half way through or get an ugly infection, it can be a real headache.

I would be really hesitant about putting a tat where you can't cover it up when you want to. It sucks but some people still discriminate against tats and that can make life really tough when it affects employment, relationships, or how people treat people that matter to you (like your kids or grands).

I have this really cool body art pak of "stick-on" nose diamonds. They really make your nose look like it is pierced. I wanted my nose pierced but then became nervous. These are a good for that in between stage, should I or should I not. You can buy them at any shopping mall. Price $3.50.

How sad that you feel this way! tears

I'm 43 and my nose is pierced. I alternate between my hoop and a diamond stud depending on my professional circumstances.

I LOVE my nostril piercing and I don't plan to remove it -- ever -- or my tongue stud, or navel piercing.

Is society creeping into your head? Don't let anyone dictate what you want to do! winking

I've had my navel done for 18 years; tongue for 16 years and nostril for 13 years. I got my first tatt 20 years ago and the last one 3 years ago. Aside from finishing the "chapter" of my back piece, I am done with my body art.

I had a plan -- a timeline -- and I based everything on my career goals as well as the story I wanted to tell. Each tattoo is a chapter within the entire story; each piece stands alone but together, they make up my ideology and spirituality.

Thankfully, I always used top notch artists and sunscreen on my ink. They are all very colorful and sharp still -- none of the lines have blurred.

I know you were kidding but do not drink when you get tattoos or piercings. The alcohol causes your blood to thin and you bleed more and for a longer period. You need the coagulation process. Besides, a good artist will not work on you if there are signs of being under the influence.

Additionally, if you bleed a lot when getting tattooed, the blood mixes with the ink and distorts the color. You will lose the integrity of the lines and scar more easily. A raised tattoo is quite ugly!

Why??????????

i just feel like im gonna look like i'm going through midlife crisis...

which i may very well be....i just dont wanna scream it at everyone...

Just get a younger guy, a goofy hair cut,
When its over the guy will go away on his own and your hair will grow back.
