If you want the search feature to work correctly, you have to use the proper format in the “Interest” section. The idea is to use one-word descriptions like "yoga", "cooking", "racing", "music", etc -- rather than sentence-like phrases as you used.

Since the interests also work as hyper links for you to search for others with the same interests, it’s a double need for accuracy. For example, when you "view" your profile, and you click the orange words you have listed, the system will search other profiles that match your words. When you list "watching -The Office-" or "socializing online" you will never find a match! Instead of "playing chess" list "chess"; instead of "reading - the bible mostly" list "the bible". You will have more luck in finding mutual matches. Edit your profile -- and you will see where this tip is suggested.

Although you never want to edit your profile to skew the truth, consider toning down your "bad" habits. Stating that you don't care about your health is a rather self-loathing message. You may not attract the kind of person you want for a healthy relationship. The details section of your profile already says you smoke and drink. You are covered.

Use that space instead to describe the type of girl that you are interested in meeting or what you like to do on dates. Put something inspiring in your profile rather than only perfunctory facts.
