Look Past

I cannot bear for you to see,
This vulnerable, naked feeling.
Though, I desire to show you, me
I would be denying.

This truth, that I am so afraid
You would find in me,
The only thing that turns a soul
From growing love, you see,

If ,perhaps, just look beyond,
This awkwardness I show.
Do not try to understand.
It is not for you to know.

Just today, see me here.
Look past, no need for hovering.
Just a smile, a gentle hug,
Love's blanket for a covering.
