Growing Up
silhouettes in my mind haunting desires of journeys to come the roads now paved no longer a dusty path looking toward the light that once seemed faded dwelt in darkness memories of youth we laughed and played cried within as night approached anticipated the morrow the light of day another charade fearful of GOD and sin the guilts passed down though all generations as if they never played cowboys and Indians who were the victims the victors how many bodies innocent fun or pure hatred bullets for the redman arrows for the forked tongue Monday through Saturday we played Sunday we begged for forgiveness the lessons we learn silhouettes in my mind how long does childhood last.... "If I told you my reality, you'd say I have a great imagination, If I told you my imagination, you'd say I've lost touch with reality" -Bob Shank Jan. 2nd-2005 |

I do mourn for those adults who cannot comprehend the insights. |
