my Daughters 17th birthday today , her Dad ,,the jerk has ignored her ,
not called , nothin , for almost five years . he called today , and made
her cry on her birthday ,,
awwww , i didn't know what to do ,,he ran off ,, he'z not a good person
, moral dilema ,, I feel bad now for giving her the phone I maybe
shoulda told him to crawl back into his card board box ,, but I told him
not to upset her before i gave her the phone ,,but he did any way
,,she'z 17 not stupid , but I am bummed that he made her cry on her
birthday and i maybe could have prevented it ,,thank God she has 7 of
her closest friends here and they will turn the party back on ,,
jeez always somethin...
oh ,,I feel bad for her ,,

no worries (((((((((((cat)))))))))) I'm SURE she'll get over it in NO
Time

just enjoy her day with her and don't think about the earlier spilt milk

i feel for her my daughter went thru the same thing and in the long run
you cant shield her from her father and its best she finds out how he is
on her own, and she will appreciate what u have done for her even more

Purple,I have the same thing going on with my kids. It's been almost 2
yrs since their mom left and she has done nada for Bdays or Christmas
since she left.

I hope she'll still be able to have a happy birthday.

My ex hasn't see nor talked to my son since the divorce so I dread the
day he feels guilt and comes back around. He probably won't being he
knows my boy's disabled

Purple, my ex did the same to my daughter, with years of broken promises
and no shows for visits, etc. She will be okay, she is old enough to
understand. Sad that it happened on her birthday, but like you said,
she has her friends there and the party will help take the bite off of
it.

My daughter over came it too, takes time. It is hard, but she will be
okay.

You are a great mom, she will do fine.
