Wow. surprised I am not an alarmist but this is getting scary.

I sent a notice to all of my massage and personal training clients that I was going to start using hygiene gloves due to the perspiration and skin contact involved with either massage or working out. Thankfully, the replies have all been "that's great and fine with me!"

It is very scary. It is hitting our children and young people hard.
I have a weak immune system so I have to be very careful. Been battling an on going cold like virus for weeks here.

More than 100 schools closed nationwide and growing daily. So, who's getting the vaccination? I trvale a good bit...Had the seasonal shot last month...and will likely get this one, as well. Good luck in didging this bug, everyone!

I'd like to dig it a permanate hole and bury it...(the bug that is)

Shots are out of stock here. When they stock back up I am getting
the seasonal flu shot only. The H1N1 I am NOT getting. Hear people
are getting sick anyway, after vaccination. I have personal reasons
for not wanting that perticulair one.

I know this is scarey, and I take flu very serious, but I would encourage everyone to remain calm.

Try and reach out to those parents that must work and need help to get through the school closures.

Keep your kids on track with regular hours and healthy past times.

Think it would be a good time to stress to our leaders that we expect better preparedness for this kind of health issue.

I agree PS our government should be more prepared, yet we as
people should be prepared. Like our government just recently told us,
that we should not totally rely on them during a natural disaster. That we should make preperations for ourselves, families, and others.
So my guess is we probbly should'nt completely rely on them during this either.

Such a good suggestion about helping parents that work, while closings of schools are in effect.

RG Hope your Sis gets feeling better.Just moments ago I found out my
Sis has the regular flu so she was told. She works janitorial up
at the local college. I told her to keep a close eye on herself and
go to the hospital if she gets worse or runs high fevers.

Wash your hands everyone! Cover those coughs and sneezes, and stay
home if your sick unless you have to go to the doctor. Help stop the
spread of these viruses.

The DFW area are up to around 11 deaths so far from the H1N1 Flu most have been the younger ones but some have been anywhere babies to a 63 years old this last week it was a school teacher that was 43 and a 11 year old boy.....

My granddaughter has already been through it and I do know that johncarl one of the members here his daughter Mary has it pretty bad right now.

I already got my regular flu shot prior to Kaitlynn getting sick and I watched her while she was sick so her mom could work.

Sure we should not panic what we need to do is disinfect and keep things wiped down the virus can live 3-8 hours on any surface that those infected touch. Washing hands is one of the main things to do the antibacterial stuff is good but it can not replace washing with soap and water.

The best thing we can do for ourselves and others if you start with a low grade fever, sore throat ect is isolate yourself till your well...at times that may seem hard to do but it is not impossible....

I saw a map on the Weather Channel last night that showed it wide spread in every state but Michigan. Even there, there is a lot!
