well, didn't count the kid/mother, cleaning time...but do a little bit of sewing on a side...but because it's not really a business...i don't count it towards my work week...treat it as a hobby that happens to pay for my hobby lol

40 hours, plus a family alone is tiring for anyone!!

I work 40 hours a week for one job, plus 12.5hrs of driving per week.

I work 8hrs on Saturday's for another job. By Sunday's.. I'm exhausted!! Only to get the house cleaning done, laundry..blah blah blah on my day off! tears

This guy is lucky to have a new family-many blessings upon them- and that will require a lot of cash, but that seventy-plus hour workweek sounds like a bummer. Back in the days when I busted my *** 60 was a lot on the body.

Does anybody else ever get tired of working over time at ur job? but u know that u can use the money so u dont say no when asked to work over or just plain have no choice and have to work over. in the last 3 weeks i have worked like 30 or better hrs of overtime. and i am so tired of working all the time. if i dont stop soon im gonna die. the crapest part about all of it, i cant say no to it. it usually happens while im at work and just have to work over. its not like they call me and ask me or anything. i just have to, and it sucks. i just felt like sayin that. hope somebody replies to it or something.

They are taking advantage of people due to the economy and it sucks. It was not like this 8-9 years ago.
In my job they sometimes have mandatory over-time, some states are trying to make this against the law.
We all need a life away from work. drinker drinker

Try doing that much overtime at 64 years old. My dad is up in Tulsa, 7 days, at least 12 hrs a day, helping with a millwright job/tearing down a couple of turbines for cleaning and putting them back together. And that's having been off for surgery on one shoulder over the summer.

And he can't afford to quit till he's 70, since his pensiona dnretirement took such a hit.

Yup I did before in my prior position then again if your up for more like you mentioned as you need to really do you find that your automatically requested to do more by your boss and get taken for granted ?,Once that commences there's trouble ahead when you decline as you don't appear to recieve anymore afterward LOL you had that yet .

Thank god I'm in a position that I like now as another said find a job u like n it's not deemed as work at all .

Everyone also knows that these days it's so difficult in obtaining a job so if you get a new and you accept overtime demonstrating your keen or for whatever reason bosses will prey upon fact ,Then one gets too tired and over worked ,By bosses point of view the more overtime an individual does the less they require to employ another person also why I think so many part time workers it's mearly to save them spending money to accumulate figures .

It's sad people that are left without work .

Feel you all been there too obviously maybe site could have a thread with job positions going at other peoples work to give the heads up to help seems this day age we need help one another in anyway we can .

Best wishes to all .

For those not in employment hope something passes your way soon tgc

Another good point Edy we all have to take upon a second job most of time mearly to cover cost of living I used to do homers myself after my shifts .

Were just seen as a statistic by government a number and when JOBCENTER places you upon training your no longer classed as unemployed no longer a statistic but of working society ,Again this is only to make up there numbers required each year sad .

Sad aswell if you have paying hobby to help with bills if unemployed you can only accumulate so much then they take rest off of you so how do we win . They barely give people enough to survive upon anyway all best out there .
