They do exist look at the crocodile, that is a dinosaur yes they have probably changed their look but it's true. Not technically. Found this on one of those question-answer sites: ========== The crocodile family and the dinosaur family both evolved from archosaurs. They are sort of like sister groups. Crocodiles are not dinosaurs, but are more closely related to dinosaurs (that includes birds) than they are to lizards, snakes, or turtles. ========== |

Dinosaurs were not lizards. Most modern theories hold that at least some dinosaurs (the Theropods) evolved into today's birds. I did a number of reports on this fact in highschool, and anyone who is interested should check out "The Dinosaur Heresies" by Robert T Bakker. Somethingspecial, by what facts are you basing your assertion? Why would you choose to ignore the evidence presented to you in journals, museums, and other media? I'm really curious about what prompted your post. |

So I am not sure I belive dinosaurs really exsited any feeling me on this one or am just going crazy? I do not know about the rest of the worlds but here in Canada we have a bunch of Dinosaurs in our political system, the actors change but results stay the same. |

They do exist look at the crocodile, that is a dinosaur yes they have probably changed their look but it's true. Crocodiles were an offshoot of the Archosaurs, the "ruling lizards" of the Triassic period that preceded the dinosaurs. Archosauria (the "ruling reptiles") is a major group of diapsids, differentiated from the other diapsids by the presence of single openings in each side of the skull, in front of the eyes (antorbital fenestrae), among other characteristics. This continues the tetrapod trend of the reduction of skull bones by the fusion of multiple bones and the opening of fenestrae in the skull. This helps to lighten the skull, provides more room for muscles and other tissues, and allows more skull flexibility (kinesis) when eating. Other typical archosaurian characteristics include another opening in the lower jaw (the mandibular fenestra), a high narrow skull with a pointed snout, teeth set in sockets (called thecodont tooth implantation), and a modified ankle joint. The ancestral archosaurs probably originated some 250 million years or so ago, in the late Permian period. Their descendants (such as the dinosaurs) dominated the realm of the terrestrial vertebrates for a majority of the Mesozoic Era. Today, only the birds and crocodilians exist to provide a glimpse into the past glory of archosaurs. |

They do exist look at the crocodile, that is a dinosaur yes they have probably changed their look but it's true. Maybe the few bones they did find are actually mutant crocodiles who had had babies with birth defects? One thing is for sure, no one is still around to tell us the truth about those big whopper skeletons. And I'm sure a lot of speculation satisfies the scientific dudes. (Anybody see "Land of the Lost"?)..LOL |

Tyrannosaurus rex evolved into a chicken....so they say

I am sure some of them are real from running around the mud flats and finding fossils as a kid but I have wondered how many of them are more phoney than real considering the billions of dollars they get for them; building museaums and chargeing a small fortune to see them.

Not to mention the millions in grant monies universities get to perpetuate the studies of whoknowswhatikis man.
I'm convinced the "missing link" skulls they have found are simply some dude that was born with a birth defect, and was shunned by the other humans. e.g. The reason the skull was found with no other skulls like it around him/her. Yet creative minds and scientific speculation, mixed with a skilled and convincing public speaker, can bring in millions of government funded (or private party funded) grant money. |
