I've meet someone as soon as a week and as long as 3 months.
I never allow them at my home though. 
Meet in public and I always tell my friends that I'm on an online date. 
EDIT: I just read the other replies. Are you referring to meeting in person or FINDING someone online using the search function? You asked about "meeting" so I assumed you meant a first date.

Depends how serious they are about talking. If it feels like pulling teeth to get them to open up and talk probably a long time. Guy calls a few times for a couple weeks and chit chats gives me a name to check against the ten most wanted list and He asks to meet for lunch someplace public a month? Doesn't mean I am inviteing him to my home or giving him my ATM lol.

I met a guy face to face after about 2 months..he lived 2hrs away..he came to see me..we aren't together anymore..not even on speaking terms..oh well...lol. |

thanks.....i am a very slow mover very cautious...but i want to be able to at least carry a simple conversation with someone...thats why i like it in here

Purvis, MS population 2400. It may take a while, unless you're willing to mingle and drive to Jackson, Gulfport, Hattiesburg, or Biloxi. Living in a rural area is great, I've done it many times in my life, but the city just offers so many more opportunities. I know how you feel, just hit on some of those Jackson hotties.

It's all up to you and how comfortable you feel. But meet in a public place - Coffee shop, book store etc. |

It all depends on how well we get along here and if they are someone I want to meet. To me the sooner the better if they live within close distance why waste time online I can tell in person real quick if I want to take it any farther or not.... Besides as long as it is a public place I don't see a problem with meeting soon.
