I see them tie the teachers hands more and more each year to the point that unless a parent builds a relationship with that teacher, the teacher is afraid to even approach a parent about a problem. That is why each year i make sure the teachers know I will work with them. It has worked very well for me. I consider myself very fortunate that my children had special needs and qualified for IEP's. I got to meet the teachers before school started, we all worked together to develop the plan for the year, and lines of communication were open from the start. My children were usually on the honor roll, and most of the usual problems were avoided. Hi everybody
