I'm single by choice, not because I don't refer to someone as "my man." Personally I think it's a tacky thing to say, but to each his/her own. Ok, how about "My love" ?

i think "My Man" really means this is the man i'm seeing right now at the present....not really a possesion thingy.its short for,"my boyfriend",my husband",the guy i'm takin home with me tonight to have sexual intercourse with..thats what i get out of it when women refer to me as "My Man"

Guys, how do you feel when the woman you are dating refers to you as 'My Man'?????? It makes me feel like King of the World. It's not what her words say that counts (words can say so much but also mean nothing), it's how she looks at me and how her heart calls me that is important to me. Her actions match her words. Aye Aye! These women here making fun of this whole thing will remain single, because they won't realize the importance of if they wanna be treated as a queen, they also must treat "their man" as a king, not a disposable napkin. I find it hard to believe some of us are single because of not calling someone "my man."

My last bf used to call me "My Girl" and there was something I just loved about it. But I never called him "My Man". I usually just called him "honey".

Yea I haven't had a boyfriend since I was a teenager or early twenties at the latest. After that they were "my man" "my sweetheart" " my better half" etc....
