Fort Worth is having the annual Mexican Music Festival right now

The Annual International Accordion Festival is going on in San Antonio right now

The Texas State Fair in Dallas is goiong till Oct 18

we're all preparing for the Chili Cookoff in Terlingua in November

BIG party. This is the original first chili cookoff ever held in the world. And every other chili cookoff in the world is a preliminary to garner enough point to qualify for this one

approximately 10,000 people show up in the old ghost town of Terlingua. Sleeping in tents, travel trailers, and RV's and sometimes sleeping on the rocks where ever you fall down

general rule of thumb is a case of beer per person per day (unless you are a heavy drinker)
