I'll give you a hint, it's not a conservative.

It's broken down like this.

Liberal <=========> Authoritarian

Conservative <=========> Radical

I'm a moderately Conservative Liberal. That means that I favor policies that support liberty and equality, but only within the framework on the union.

Because in the US, the politics are usually simplified down to Liberal vs Conservative, people often think of the two as opposites, whereas you can actually be both and that's not a contradiction.

BREASTED PHD . CHAIRMAN OF THE DEPARTMENT ORIENTAL LANGUAGES AT CHICAGO UNIVERSITY AND A MEMBER OF THE ROYALACADEMY OF SCIENCESOF BERLIN .. It was a rhetorical question. The opposite of liberal is authoritarian. The opposite of conservative is radical.

The spectrum is more accurately written as Anarchist<======>Statist, IMO.

Anarchist = Radical Liberal
Statist = X Authoritarian (X is either conservative or Radical depending on the countries existing government)

This is a very poor definition of "anarchist". It simply means "one who advocates stateless society" (and there are several flavors of it). Your definition is rather sloppy, but close. More aptly, it is a person who believes that the State has a legitimate monopoly on violence and is the ultimate authority in a given geographical area.

I didn't define anarchist. I showed what quadrant in the political compass they would fall.

On the Liberal vs Authoritarian axis, they are Liberal.
On the Conservative vs Radical axis, they are Radical.

Thus radical liberal.

What you are suggesting as a definition for anarchist is far different from anything I've ever heard of.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anarchist

Anarchist
1 : a person who rebels against any authority, established order, or ruling power

Your definition of Anarchist "a person who believes the State has a legitimate monopoly on violence and is the ultimate authority in a given geographical area." doesn't match up with the dictionary definition of the word.

There is more than one meaning to the word in applied philosphy. Same applies with words like "democracy" and "communism". Since you haven't heard of my description of "anarchist", I suggest you read about it. Start with Rothbard's "Anatomy Of The State", and move on to the works of Lew Rockwell, Butler Schaeffer, and Walter Block, Stephen Kinsella, and J.L. Bryan

Start with "What Is Anarchy?" here-http://www.lewrockwell.com/shaffer/shaffer60.html
