A strange question I know.

Sadly I am from Scotland and our country is obssessed with football/soccer ( for the yanks).

This would all be good if we could actually play the game but we can't. I am depressed and need a cheering up, messages hugs and so on are appreciated.

I thought maybe out there, in the large world are others that feel thier country does not meet the mark.

I went to a new high school that could not win a game for nuttin' and it affected me because I was one of the cheerleaders. But, what was I to do? I couldn't change schools. So, I cheered on these losers and relied on the basketball team for pride.

We (USA) crap at health care, elder care, animal protection (although we do try on that one) The State of Pennsylvania has been without a budget since the beginning of the year. Our state employees are now pretty much volunteers....taking care of their families on bank loans that are based on their ever getting paid again. Also no state budget means no heat assistance and winter is upon us. There are far greater things wrong than sports.....

We here in the US worship youth and beauty...rarely wisdom which comes with gray hair.
One can only stand aside and watch, as the young sally forth into the same mistakes those older and wiser than they had made twenty or more years prior.
To be "old" is to be ignored by the young.
We adore many so-called "celebrities" who have little or no talent at all, other than for getting themselves into trouble, and/or making an a** of themselves on a grandiose scale.
Kim Kardashian
Lindsey Lohan
Anna Nicole Smith
Paris Hilton
Nicole Ritchie
There's gotta be some guys...though I can't think of any at the moment...
