It's all good in theory. The 8 billion was in pledges not actual money. And it doesn't state over how many years these companies have to do whatever it is they pledged. Now if those pledges will be followed through on then bravo.

You can usually depend on Americans when it comes to charity. They are a very giving group of people. We have a friend in the hospital who does not have health insurance. Charity is covering the cost. Several church groups have dontated to help and another friend is opening her home to him. I think you found some common ground. :)

I watch CNN Heroes the other day, don't watch Cnn too much so it caught my eye. It's nice to know there are lots of good people actually out there doing things instead of sitting around whining. There's lots of good things going on. Some times hard times motivates people to think of things they might never have thought about, and gives them something possitive to focus on. Nice thought to end the day with, thanks. Night.. |
