While a lot of the answers to questions fall into a matters-of-the-heart category, this one is mostly science...statistics. The greater population on this site are people far away from you...goes for all of us.
Even if you live in a major market city - the odds are only slightly better that you'll find someone local versus far away. We'll just have to enjoy what we can...and perhaps be willing to travel!

lol well im not big about dating an out of town person but i dont want to rule them out cuz they could be one to turn my world upside down in a good way

Shadow-I do understand how puzzling that can be, that distance thing is quite discouraging....
My theory is...Its is a safety buffer. A gal who lives 500 miles away is much less likely to show up at your door out of the blue...If someone is far away (male or female) if they are legit than you get time to know them intellectually before jumping into the fire with them. If they are just playing around, it is likely they will slip up and contradict themselves somewhere along the way Or just loose interest if you dont send "nudie" pictures ... 500 miles away also prevents them from seeing you out on the town if you just so happen to be out with someone (be it friend or otherwise) and follow you home with a knife... or stalk you at some point in the future. |
