Topic: Another child, dead by cop, in Nevada | |
---|---|
My heart goes out to the las vegas mother who watched her 15 year old son have his head blown off by the cops. It seems life is so invaluable to people these days and everyone else is paranoid. Sad that cops arent being trained to adapt to situations like these where a child is distressed. I understand that they had to do SOMETHING to ensure he didnt harm his mother,,but aim for his head?
I wonder if they are watching closely when these cops are going through the shooting simulations? Im sure this will be deemed justified, havent heard of one police shooting in nevada that hasnt been yet. Its so scary to be in such a highly armed society of paranoid people. |

Yes. I have to add a disclaimer that I believe MOST police are upstanding and trying to do a service. Its just those who shouldnt EVER be given guns that are causing so many people to grieve much too early over a loved one.

yeah, its getting progressivly worse with law enforcement though.alot of it has to do with the generation these cops today come from....really,i do believe thats true to a certain extent. everything changes with time...even law enforcement.its just sad that its for the worst....and then to not have to pay the cost for their actions.it seems that society is getting progressivly worse in so many aspects...just watch the news.crime of every sort is up and some really appauling crimes at that.i mean come on how in the hell could they overlook the dugard girl for 18 years when this idiot had her in his backyard for 18 years...but let it come time for gun play and they are gung ho then......sickening!!!

Incidents like this make one curious as to why some think private security companies would be worse than the BS we've got now. ![]() |

![]() ![]() I wholly agree. I suspect that it could be because many cops are ex-military and never really adjusted back to life in civil society. |

Whatever keeps dangerous people off the streets and paranoid people away from guns. If that were the real goal, people would hire security companies and arm themselves for protection rather than trust the cops. ![]() |

I have a theory that for the most part cops become cops for the right reasons, then down the road politics and the economy starts affecting their decisions. I've only met one cop that really did try to change his area for the better, uphill battle when everyone else has a political agenda...sorry, but my experience has been that almost all cops are crooked to some degree. Kind of a grim truth really, suppose someone will chime in that their job is "difficult" and how would I respond in the same situation. Simple, I wouldn't, I'm not trained too. |
