I don't drink instant coffee. I was at a travel plaza last night and there was a girl outside the Starbucks giving samples of that stuff, I hadn't heard of it before. Kinda scary....

I admit it, I am a coffee snob. I grind my own beans and put the coffee in a thermos-carafe so it doesn't burn. For a "grind" coffee I think Community is one of the best.
When I was in Peru, the hotel had a little coffee bar in each room. I went to make some coffee and couldn't find the "stuff". I finally asked and they showed me how to heat the water. I explained that I could heat the water, "Where was the coffee?" I got this "stupid American look" as they opened the can of syrup and poured some in the hot water. It was as good a cup of coffee as I have ever had. Anyone ever had coffee extract syrup? It may be "instant" but it sure doesn't taste like instant. |

The best cup of coffee I've ever had came from a Tosca Ristorante in the town of Torrejon Spain. The Tosca was located on the ground level of my apartment. Had a great time there! Bob Out |

They have LESS caffeine than the lighter roasts; the roasting process burns off caffeine as per time roasted ratio ... I'm a goner on dark roasts... too many years living w/ French, Italians, Greeks, Turks, South Americans and Iranians... |

Interesting, I never knew that, sounds good, though; maybe if I switched I wouldn't get the caffeine withdrawal headache so often. |

Indeed, and I find the trick is limiting myself to two very strong cups or shots in the am before noon. If I need any later, I have a cup of green or black tea or iced tea ... Works! |
