Well I just wanted to see if anyone else was having the same problem I am. When people think of a single mom with a small child they generally thing of someone in their 20's. I'm 34. The trouble I have been facing is that the men my age all have older children, finished having children, and not really interested in someone with small children. I mean its all great at first. They love my profile, go out on a few dates and then when they meet my 2 year old its all over shortly after. I don't want anyone that doesn't want us both in his life but it makes for lonely nights.

I am right there with everyone else. I am 38 and have a 9 yr old with lots of special needs. It takes time to find the right person.

I used to be in that situation and I tell you it's not easy. The men we date have to know that we are a package deal. If they can not accept that then you just have to take the time and find that one special person who will accept you and your child. Good Luck to you.

I'm 43 and my lil one will be 2 in march. Although he is not with me, he is with his mom, but i'd take him full time in a heart beat.

Personaly a lil one is not a big deal to me, i actualy enjoy it, watching them grow up, watching them change day to day.

Starting older in life has its things to consider, but i think in many ways its better for the child, (although i didnt expect to wait this long before a lil one was running around).
For one you are more stable, you know who you are and what you want, and kids pick up on that, you are not like you were in your 20's. We all know how we were, not knocking the 20's, i had a blast, and rever back every now and then, but have to face reality i'm not 20.
Its a double edge coin, i think, there are bonuses for the kids as well as some draw backs.
But in the end, all that matters is you are there for them and love them no mater what age.
