A man was arrested for allegedly throwing two tomatoes at Sarah Palin from the second floor balcony during a book signing event at the Mall of America in Minnesota, MyFoxTwinCities.com. reported.

Neither tomato came close hitting the former 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, but did hit a police officer in the face, the station reported.

The unidentified man may face charges for assaulting a police officer, according to the station.

That's the left for you: Cowardly throwing fruit at a woman. Luckily, leftists are usually beta males and can't throw to save their lives.

so true! I live near San francisco and you should see all the Beata males out here! lmao!

throwing "fruit" is wrong but apparantly rednecks bringing semi automatic weapons to an Obama appearance is ok?

Fox said it's number one on Amazon sales but i work at Amazon and i haven't seen one single order go out the door yet. I could care less, if the neocons go ape sh** over a book in which most of the contents is her whining about Mccain's people then that means more work for me.

Well she is not a neocon, hence the disagreement between her and newt! She is a true conservative from what i can see and was a great governer for Alaska!
She was so good she resigned............

Yeah, I never understood the argument about how great she was as Governor, as she didn't bother to get through her entire term.

Alaska has an interesting legal system. Anyone who wants can bring an ethics charge against the Governor and the state will prosecute the case. While the person who brings the case doesn't have to show up or pay a dime, the governor must cover her own legal expenses. Her family was near bankruptcy from legal fees due to all of the cases brought against her. She won all of them (one was even brought against her by a cartoon character), but the legal costs to the state (for the prosecution) and her family (for the defense) was stacking up quickly. She resigned so that she could avoid being a lame duck and so that she could spare the state and her family any more legal expenses. I have to be honest, that makes sense to me. Can you honestly say it doesn't make sense? Should she have cost her husband his business, so that she could continue being governor? Should she have continued to spend her days in court, instead of working? I think the left are taking an extremely partisan view on this, she did the most pragmatic action possible in the situation.

Assuming her resignation was noble,,what in her service record made her such a great governor as previously posted?

I don't know much about her

but from the way the leftists demonize everything about her every time her name comes up I can't help but think she must be okay. Anyone who scares them that much is okay in my book

I dont think she should be demonized. I think she was an awful choice for VP and she didnt come across as too intelligent or knowledgable about the job. I also didnt see that many accomplishments in her short term as governor. So as I dont think she was a demon, I also dont understand what there was to revere about her or what made her such a great governor?

I never said that, so I'll leave it to you or the person you are reply to to answer that question. But I did find this answer to your question, which I think covers the situation completely.

Probably not as much as she would have being a community organizer. Community organizers run military units (National Guard), appoint justices to the state Supreme Court, submit budgets, take command during natural disasters, work with a legislature, other administrative duties. As a Governor, you do none of that.

Demonizing and thinking she was a bad choice for VP are different things. People like her, though. They even idolize her, which I will never understand. She's very vague when she speaks, yet her fans eat it up.

Her book tour ends soon, so I am guessing the attention will die down a bit, at least.

Yes, but my question was ,, what did SARAH PALIN do in HER term as governor which makes her great?

I agree, it would be better if she just said "Hope" and "Change". It's a lot more specific.

Hey, how's that Hope and Change working out for you?

yeah I think she was a bad choice for VP. She wasn't ready and they rushed it too much

like it or not she is likely to be the face of the GOP for the next twenty years or so. I think this book and all the publicity is just the beginning to a long campaign

I like Bobby Jindal better but she is gonna be around for awhile

lol. This is a thread about Palin, right? Why is it turning into something about Obama? Why not let us know what she's doing that's so wonderful, Spider?

I don't think she has it in her to be "the" face of the GOP for that long.

That's sort of a hypocritical stance.

"Hey! Hands off Obama! We don't care if he's qualified to be POTUS!!!! Now what qualifies Sarah Palin to be VP?"

Running a state is nothing compared to voting "present" in the Senate.

Well, I was just doing what you did, right? Instead of answering questions, you turned the attention from Palin to Obama, didn't you?

Are you going to answer msharmony's question that she asked you twice? What did Palin do as Governor to make her so great?
