Two questions here but very similar in nature.
1. When doing a search do settings or filters automatically
apply themselves? Does one have to do an advance search
and apply them then and there for each new search?
2. I met a man who's intro line was "looking for soulmate"
I liked him more than he liked me and he later said he was
interested in sex ONLY. I saw too, that he changed his
intro line to indicate something far more casual. I went back
to my inbox and sent box and found that he did indeed change
his intro line after we met. He was sweet and polite but not
at all interested in LTR with me but he wanted it to look
like a mistake in my search not that he simply was just not
that into me. Learn how to be TACTFULLY honest, I am just
not as small a woman as he was looking for.

Welcome to the forums, gramarie33. The settings that you see on the following page are used whenever you do a basic Search.
http://mingle2.com/search
The Mail Filters only apply to people contacting you.

The Advanced Search settings do not come into play until you click the 'Find Matches' button on this page:

Hi Charles!

Is there a way to filter profiles that haven't logged on in over a month?

For the past week, all the profiles in my mutual match rating system indicate the member was "last seen over a month ago".

I'd like to narrow my matches to more recent activity.

There's not at the moment, MelodyGirl, but we may find a way around this in the near future. As for the situation at hand, do you use Mutual Match regularly? Unless the system is feeding you potential matches in a delayed fashion, such users would not have been able to rate you within the last month, obviously.

I rate profiles just about every day. I will click through about 20 per log-in.

There was one instance wherein I received an auto-message: "We're sorry but you have no more profiles to rate".

Maybe I am referring to the wrong feature.

I am referring to profiles presented to me in "You do not have any Mutual Matches. Rate some people to find a match".

Thanks for clarifying. It sounds like the database might have "hiccuped". I've made a note of this, as it does happen on occasion.

When you look to see who's online, is there any way to pick only those who are within a specific region? I'm in Toronto and don't need to see who's in Oregon or Manchester.

When you search, you only seem to be able to search by age range.

Thanks for your patience, Webcat. It's not possible to sort Who's Online at this time.
