I once heard of a great idea for new couples. Someone suggested a big twenty list, the top ten "I will always' and the top ten "I will never" Has anyone ever tried it?

Wouldn't there be an understanding between these couples...why do some feel the need to make 20 promises and expect their partner to do the same. Can't people just learn to live in the moment... Love would never ask of us what we sometimes ask of each other...

I actually think this is a good idea... not as a "promise" list of do's & don'ts... more along the lines of really getting to know each other and each person's boundaries. I think this exercise would be a good source to initiate conversation

I think this exercise would be a good source to initiate conversation If it is to initiate conversation then it would be a good thing..and keeping communication lines open then yeah.. A list of "I will always" and "I will never" promises could blow up in your face one day..
