Topic: To Tell The Truth | |

Regarding threads on these boards, particularly those that have gone dozens of pages, and especially those that have gone dozens of parts (each "part" being 50 pages long) -- do any of you actually go back and read all the previous posts in multi-page/multi-part threads, or do you blindly just keep posting?

Generally avoid them.

I usually go back a few (up to 10) pages to get caught up...

Some I read
Cause they are interesting Or amusing Some are the type of threads ya really don't have to read over and over So ya just jump in whenever ya feel like it There are some though that are really dumb So I stay away!! |

I mean, if I bother.. to a degree.. ill go back like 2 or 3 pages if its just super interesting.
I look all through the picture threads though, always a good laugh. |

Don't generally go into the long pages that often anymore.
Use to ... then I would go back through most of the pages that I missed. But to me, when I was in the long multi-part threads, it was generally more for socialization, not about a particular topic. As for the shorter threads, I will go back and read through especially if it is debating a particular topic. |

I've noticed that some of them tend to be clique threads -- the same six people posting the same drivel over and over, pages of smilies, lots of vapidity. I don't bother with those. They won't acknowledge anyone who isn't in the clique, anway, and how many times can you post before it loses all meaning? I do like to go back and read the earlier parts of OGP though. |

Lex is right Those clique threads are the worst And they say nothing! The same schlock over and over again It's like reading a bad book!! Jmo. Jmo. Jmo. Jmo |

I normally just skip them, too far behind to catch up |

yah
some people own certain threads that are just chit chat between a couple of people. and thats fine with me some, like the "your child is smoking pot" thread go on and on with new people saying new stuff. those I'll go back and read a couple pages to get caught up. more than a few pages is weeks ago though and old news |

I like to read through some of them..sometimes their pretty entertaining.

Depends on the topic. If it's just a chatty type thread, no, I doubt I'll go read back a bunch of pages. If it's an interesting topic, I probably will read back.

I usually answer the question or comment the opinion of the original OP. To many times people go off track and change the subject completely. If you want to talk about something different then the OP question start your own thread.
I will go back and read others opinion I'm always open to others idea and not afraid to learn. |

I like to go in the Diary thread every now and again and make an admission. It feels good.

If it's gone a few pages I might read and catch up if the subject matter is interesting otherwise I'll pass it by..
Of course I am one of those with a "clique" threads and anyone is welcome in that thread at any time so... We don't repeat things over and over, we chit chat, and say hello daily etc. |
