hmm.. yes. TX's wording was much nicer :)

The more I think about it, the more I think of what I could say.. but
don't feel like typing all that out. lol

I've changed my conclusion (hey, i'm a girl! i'm allowed to!). In a
nutshell, more positively speaking, and realistically speaking, I'd
prefer divorce. I get a fresh new start without regrets.

Unsure-Excellent point. I was thinking in terms of what I would think
before I went through my divorce. That is exactly what I tell him when
he calls me about junk, to tell his wife, it is her problem now.

Mommy-Got that bumper sticker. I will not go on about it or it will get
ugly. Then the hidden bitter me will come out. Not pretty!

Auburn-Yes, if your child's other parent dies and has paid into SSI, you
get death benefits from the government in a form of a monthly check that
they don't ask what you are spending it on.

Someone remind me to ask my mom about this. She divorced my dad,
remarried him, then was widowed 20+ years later.

Having done both, divorce is easier.
Death is final.
People may think death is easier till they experience it.

Well I can't say widowed because then my kids wouldn't have a dad...NOT
that he was the greatest dad...BUT regardless of how I feel about him he
is their father...NOT only that but I would not wish death on my worst
enemy!!!!!!!

believe me but it's true!!!!!!

I may wish other things...Mainly their own actions come back on
them...BUT never death!!!!!!!!!

 I could or would not ever give my choice as to them being
dead,,, If WE were IN-LOVE,,,I WOULD NO, LONGER WANT TO GO ON W/O HER.
If I ever find that lady to die with I hope very much that I would die
first,,,or both grow feble and forget life together til we fade
out!!

I have to agree with oldsage..I've been through both also. My first
husband was very abusive and I went through alot till my son turned
18..but..even the hell I went through I wouldn't wish him dead. Still
can't stand my ex but he's not my problem anymore. We can at least be
civil to each other now, so that's an accomplishment. But when I lost my
beloved 2nd husband, that tore my heart and soul right out. I would
rather experience divorce than death.

Hummmm well not saying I would wish death on anyone been through the
divorce thing yeah not easy but much easier than death itself. Which I
would never wish on anyone.

Guess it is just the way I took the question for I would rather know
that I had a relationship that was great and we were able to have all
those memories together and was there till the end with each other.

Instead of having a marraige that was full of heartache and ended in a
battle leaving each other hating each other.
