Very real. I can't seem to reverse the spell I casted onto my co-worker. I guess he is going to have to stay as a toad for the rest of his life. laugh drinker

Yes, it is. People actually use it all the time. They just don't know it. Because they don't know it, they end up doing it in a way that causes themselves harm.

Thoughts are things.

Magic. in your opinion is it real? does it work?

I'm new to the art and science of witchcraft. I've only been studying it for about a year and praticing it very little. I can share with you a few things I've learned. First off, I spell spiritual magick with a 'k', if only to differentiate it from stage magic which is mere illusion.

The second thing I've learned is that before you can ask whether or not magick is real you need to define it. Only then can you decide whether or not it satisfies its definition and is therefore real.

Finally, I've learned that as a witch it is my duty to write a Book of Shadows, and one of the first things that go into that book is indeed my very own personal definition of magick. Then the entire rest of the book becomes my journal of how I made that definition come true for me.

It's a psychic experience of mind over matter, or will over way, however you wish to think of it. It's a process. It's a lifestyle.

Like Ruth already said, everyone does it, but only few are aware that they are doing it. The ones who are unware are their own cursed nemesis. So become aware of how to do it right or forever live in the wake of your own cursed vexation. pitchfork

Dig that..
so we have established that at least to some of us it is in fact a reality, and something we use on a daily basis.
But.....
Is there truely Black and White Magic, or is that actualy something that would depend upon the practicioner and theyre intentions?

Magick is neither good nor bad. It can be used for either, though. So, it would depend on the intentions of the practitioner.

I don't really care for the terms Black Magick or White Magick either. It makes it sound like there is something inherently wrong with anything dark. Without the dark, there can be no light. We all have a "dark side". It is important to come to know and accept that side of yourself and of the universe. Fearing the dark, staying away from the dark or supressing the dark only serves to keep you in the dark about all that is.

I know that probably sounds weird and cryptic. But, it's the best I can do at explaining something I know to be true but can't really put into words.

Since we are talking about using magick for good or bad.....I am wondering what people think of doing love spells directed at someone in particular. Most people I know think they are wrong. I think they are not possible as real love is not something you can force upon someone else or the universe. You might temporarily be able to manipulate someone for a while, but you will not have love.

However, I do know practioners who have no problem doing any magick, including love spells, directed at controlling another person. I was thinking about this because of the thread yesterday about Moloch and confidence. His assertion was that if the love spell didn't work it was because the person casting the spell just wasn't good enough. http://mingle2.com/topic/show/247907

And, why limit it to love spells? What about any spell designed to control another person?

I cant say right or wrong on what I would call a "Lust Agent", but I will say that it can only end badly if one is doing it to make someone love them.
far as useing it to control someone else..that cant be helped. secondya cast yyou influece everything and everone connected to the desired end result, so....
and if this thread is out of place just move it, and y apologies for putting it in the wrong section.
