I am new here and if this has been asked and answered before, I apologize. I have put a few profiles in my 'favorites' area for possible future reference, but I just checked my 'recent activity' and it says that I 'viewed xxxx profile' and then on ALL of them it says I messaged them. I haven't messaged anyone. No other site messages favorites unless YOU do. What gives?

Question, why add someone as a favorite for future reference???

Whenever someone ADDS me on their favorites, I get an email from the system saying that the person added me as a favorite, so that is the email they say you sent. We KNOW you added us. Unfortunately, we have NO CONTROL and cannot DELETE someone who has added us as a favorite. I wish we could as I hate thinking that someone has me on some arbitrary or WISH list. Ugh!!!

You used to be able to delete yourself, or I thought you could anyway? Anyway, when that has happened to me, I've simply e-mailed them and ask them to remove me as I find it very creepy that someone would add me as a favorite who I've never talked to.

I had this misconception when I started here too. I thought 'favorites' was simply my own notation of people that I wanted to look closer at later. I would run local searches, run through them quickly and mark the ones that I wanted to go back to. I had no idea they were being notified or I wouldn't have marked them.

When you pick them in Stealth Node, it doesn't notify them.

Good to know!!! But, then, that only creeps me out more. I don't have any favorites. They are either my friends or not or my mutual matches....

I find it weird that someone who does not know you just goes ahead and adds you as a favourite . What bothers me more is when gay men add me and I just block them .
