I would save my child because even though he was a step father my significant other would love my child enough to expect that. My late husband and I talked about it several times,him being a military diplomat being taken hostage was a possiblity, and once he told me that if I didn't put "our" kids first he would not want me anymore so I figure if I only saved him he would throw me off the cliff. lol

I would save my s/o. We can make an other child. But, lets take this a step further. You are in a hut with everyone in your tribe. Outside are solders. If they hear you they will come in and kill all of you, about 50 men, women and children. Your infant starts crying. Do you cover it's nose and mouth, killing it to save everyone else? I would probably smother my infant feeling it was better for it to die at my hand then in the hands of my enemies which if it crying out would bring to it. The other people would not factor into the decision. |

For those of you that don't understand the question, you have to choose your spouse or you child, not yourself. Make a choice and don't confuse the issue. After all it's just a thought experiment, which is something that MirrorMirror is great at. Asking those deep questions. In my case, I would save my daughter over my wife.
