So...
The kid's wanted to bring one of their dogs here, this week. I said OK!....on the counter was a bowl of the dog's food. Ok....they feed her and walk her etc....

I was looking for a late night snack. In the "fridge" I found a bowl of rice with, chicken, peas, carrots, snow peas, and a nice broth. It is not unusual for the kid's to bring me food......So I ate it...it was very bland but OK....

The next day they asked...."who ate the dog food?" I said it is right there on the counter.....NO, the food from the fridge!!!!

OOOPs!

Apparently, they make their own dog food...???
Their dogs eat better than I do.....???

It's a dog's life!!!!

One of my father's fishing buddies used to stay at the lake for long periods of time with his dog. He mentioned one time that he was tired of eating fish and did not want to go into town to resupply so he just ate some of his dog's food. He said it really wasn't that bad. I have always been curious since then ... but not curious enough to find out for myself.laugh

It actually is cheaper, healthier (unless your dog has special needs) and environmentally more sound. It is time consuming, though no more so than cooking for your family.

When I was a kid (in the 70's) I ate dog food.
