Can I just say I HATE IT. I have not been able to get it to work. I went to the trouble shooting page and that didn't help. I emailed their support service and they emailed me the link to the rouble shooting page I already used.

It's the only IM service my parents use. I cant' seem to talk them into anything else. So I only have it to talk with them.

I quit using windows and yahoo messenger, they seem to be nothing but sources of an aneurysm

most of their updates seem to require an eventual patch sooner or later

I've had no problems with Yahoo. But Gaim or whatever it was called was a horrible nightmare.

Moondark, have you ever tried ICQ? It's a lot easier to use, and more friendly to older folks than aol/msn or yahoo. You can get it at download.com
It might be compatible with them too.. I have all 3, so ... I dunno.. |

i use meebo to log on to all my messengers but yahoo.or you can digsby

Trillian Astra here...you can use yahoo, windows live, aim, icq, skype, myspace, facebook and some other services with it. All in one, I find the best and easiest :)

I've used it for 10 years. I still have the number that I signed up with back in '99. Just curious...I've had ICQ for a while also, haven't used it in a while. I was wondering which of us had the oldest number. What # do you have(if you don't mind me asking)...mine is 875224...

Yours is a lot older. mine is in the 17 millions. I just tried logging in, and it says I HAVE to download the newest version to be able to log in now.. My friend just downloaded it for the first time. His number is in the 300+ millions..

I really need to download, and start using it again...I enjoyed it very much when I did use it. Haven't thought about it in a while, thanks for your mention of it...now I'll go and d/l it and see if I can still remember my password.

Do not know if this will help but if you have a "nvidia network card" try this because I had trouble with the new version of Live Messenger and finally solved the problem after I uninstalled "nvidia network utility (not the driver)" for some reason their new version doesn't signin when this program is installed. If you do not have an nVidia network card then would need more information (like error message or...what happens exactly) |
