Please let us all take some time out today to appreciate our freedom,
and to remember what has been done and what is being done to preserve
our freedom...

Please let's all join together in prayer and rememberence of our troops
who so gallantly put themselves in harm's way,
to protect us and preserve our freedom...

I also pray for the brave civilians who have gone overseas to help the
troops and the people over there...
Many of whom have not returned alive...

I pray for all of our loved ones, Lord, and all of those
whom we have not met, those living and those dead...

Lord, have mercy on us,
please bring peace to our lands...
bring love instead of war,
please bring understanding & compassion to us all.

I am so humbled by their courage...
And they are so sweet and modest...

It breaks my heart to see such amazing people,
who don't go tooting their own horn...
But they are quietly there, when they are needed.

If we here, back in the states
could only be so noble and so humble...& so ready to serve,
putting ourselves aside in favor of the bigger picture.

We are so spoiled here...
This country has gotten so self centered in so many ways...
It is not about what we look like,
it is not about what we have.
None of that really matters in the Grand Plan of things,
when it really comes down
to what the most important things in life are...

Lord, Jesus.....
Help us all to see the bigger picture....
Help us to think more of others and be
gracious, loving, caring and considerate...
