Hey all I'm new to the site but not Illinois. I notice there seems to be a lack of replies to mails and forum post in here. It seems very typical of the Illinois crowd, that sucks, hopefully it will change sooner or later.

Hi INVISIBLE
We wouldn't get many posts in our part of the world ![]() |

Celt -- Thank you! What I find interesting is that, whenever I refer to how uncommunicative the Chicago/Illinois/Indiana contingent is here, the people who actually take the time to respond are from Wisconsin and Texas and Canada and Europe.
There are -- literally -- hundreds of locals on this site. I have my search parameters set up for 200 miles, and there are pages and pages of locals. But they rarely post, and they never answer e-mails. This is the only site I've ever been on -- out of 102,816 -- where this is the case. I really just don't understand it! |

Hey Lex, you said you've been on lots of sites where people from the illinois area actualy talk with you. Are they dating sites? And if so wich ones?
Thanks in advance, --Redwulfe |

lol. Hey, guys! what's up????

Celt -- Yeah, I just don't get it. Why do people join a site and then not participate? Makes no sense to me.
Red -- Check your e-mail! Sing -- We're just trying to figure out a way to get the locals involved here, somehow....there are so many great people on JSH, from all over the world, that I almost have to believe that at least a few of the hundreds of locals are probably pretty decent people, too.... ....of course, it's hard to tell, when they won't even talk to you.... |

Lex- Thanks,
Singing- Not much, Just trying to get a conversation going. Taking yor screen name in to account. What's your favorite song to sing? I'm partial to musicals myself, memories from Cats, Seasons of Love and Le vi Bohem from Rent. As far as getting people to talk on here it may be a lost cause but I am willing to talk about nearly anything so start up a thread and I will be there. --Redwulfe |

I had a 12 page board once! LOL...
As for favorites to sing- I'm a karaoke Addict... I have a 4500 karaoke song collection of my own... I will sing just about anything... my favorites being in the Country music genre. As for Chicago- I was born and raised here... and I don't like the residents. The ones that I have met are not pleasant- or they lie and use you. I'd prefer a smaller town setting... where everyone knows everyone and they help each other (yay for neighbors)... but I like my convenient stores convenient... and I don't drive... so there's a tradeoff... lol... oh well. |

Country music is good. I grew up in a small town (pop. 3200 and we wer the largest town for n hours drive in any direction) but found that I wanted something more to do than play video games at walmart (at least we had that), drive around and get hammered, or just get into trouble. I moved to Champaign and to me it's a big city but not too big. I don't know if I could handle Chicago. It's got lots to do, so I wouldn't be bored, but it seems you could get lost there easily. A lose of self, I mean, not directions. :) I do plan on moving when I graduate from school and I know that I will have to move to a big city but I'm not sure if will like it. I gues the grass is always greener but I'm not sure I'm lookig forward to True-Turf. :)

Hi Celtic, what about an Irish thread in others, just for the 2 of us??

Well... ya get people lost too... people here change with the trends, lose sight of the things that matter... and those of us left behind are forgotten or stomped upon because we don't see eye-to-eye with the masses.
I know who I am... where I want to go... its finding the means to get there that is always an issue...lol Anyhoo... |

In the end knowing who you are and what you want is what will get you through the rough times. I am going into a rough field that may have severe ups and downs, but in the end I no I will survive. I just want to find someone to share the good times with. :)

My spelling and grammar sucks, but it would be nice to be able to edit my posts after I catch the mistakes. :)
"no" should be "know", in the post above :) --Redwulfe |

Lol... I think the majority of people nowadays do not use standard and correct grammar and spelling. I'm not so bad at grammar and spelling, but give me a complicated math problem and forget it! Lol...
I hear ya about the rough patch. My life has been one on-going rough patch. But tomorrow's a new day (and it'll hopefully get better). There's a quote that fits my life: "I don't need sex... life tends to f*&$ me over every chance it gets." But, ya know- at least I have a life... even if it isn't great, it's a life, right? |
