Ive seen a few friends turn JW over the years, its really hard to stop, especially when the person is influenced by a loved one.

I say try and have a sit down with this person get a a couple different bibles like NIV , NKJV. And compare your bibles with their JW "bible". Do some verse swapping and you'll prolly get into a little bit of an argument about whos bible is the correct one.

Still, like i said, people are stubborn, especially when it comes to religion. It will take alot of work to remove a person from a cult such as JW, but it can be done my friend.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their founder was a prophet.

Hebrews 1:1-2 teaches that there will be no prophets following Jesus.

The reason people get confused is that prophet can mean someone who speaks for God, someone who sees the future or someone who witnesses about God. There will be no more prophets who speak for God or see the future, but everyone can witness about God.

So the best argument I can offer is that their founder couldn't have been speaking for God, because the Bible says such a thing isn't possible anymore.

Hebrews 1:1-2.
