Mark 10:26-27
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying amoung themselves, who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. God is the forgiver. |

That all that matters warr is that you know.
they are misguided indeed, Even JESUS WANTS US IN CHURCH. You do not to go to church to be saved. Jesus showed me that I needed to be in church in a big way. It does not applied to everyone though. |

That is why I do not go to churches.
ekklesia is the greek term in the bible which translates into church. It is a congregation or assemblage of people with common interests and belief systems. And is a governmental or political term. |

When Jesus told Peter that upon him he would build his church he used
the word 'ekklesia'. Ekklesia means as above (wikipedia) 'a crowd of people who were assembled. It did not signify a "building".' It was not until the Council of Niciea that the translation of 'Church' as a building was subsituted for the open congregation of a 'crowd of people assembled with a common belief'. Jesus never said 'go worship me in a building'. |

War, they say in times of confustion, to go to the sourse of knowledge.
So in regards to your belief, would you go to a church? What good then, is the written word, the Biblical texts? Were they not meant to teach? There have been many Christians on this site post time and time again, that once you have accepted Christ that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Does a Church know you better than the Holy Spirit within you? Can anyone there who would have the audacity to tell you that how you feel has an interpretion other than what the Holy Spirit tells you? Then DONT go. They are filled with lies meant to confuse the simple truth. If, however, you get comfort from such gathering and are met with joy and acceptance, and if our faith is not questioned, dismissed or looked upon with righteous indignation, then go. It is YOUR faith, it is what YOU feel that will make you the best person, not what other individual doctrine has to say about it. |
