It depends on who you are and what you're looking for whether or not this site will work for you. Like Winx said, some people have gotten married, they happened to find people similar to them, that doesn't work out for everyone.

ive been on this site for about 2 years and i have met some wonderful site and this site is much more better then a lame pay site and much more addicting! i think if you really dive into the forums you'll see how wonderful this site really is It sounds like what you and "munchiebellic" are saying is... that this site is great to make friends and talk to cool people on the forums, but you're not likely to meet your soul mate and start dating them. That's sorta the impression I'm getting too. Then again, I don't know of any dating sites that are better either. I'm kinda new to this. Jimothy i have a pay site and two free site accounts i get more action from this one than the other two. Depends on the area your in and who is looking for your qualities. Dating can be a sit and wait type of deal, for some, for others dating comes naturally, for most on here i think they give up too soon when they dont magically get a response within the first week or two they are here. The more people learn about you the more interesting and inviting you may seem to someone. |

On the forums you get to chat with people and so are not going by some random email you might receive. I think you will like it here and hope you meet someone to date.

Let me present an experience from the "other side" -- I was on a pay site for 3 months in early 2006. $24.95 a month. I was contacted by 174 of their members, mostly locals, during that period. I never sent out a first e-mail. As far as I can tell, none of the 174 were scammers/spammers. BUT -- and this is the part that relates to your original question about time-wasters -- none of them were even remotely suitable for me either. Many of them sent message after message, trying to get me to go meet them at a local bar. Clearly, they either had not read, or could not read, my profile. Waste of time? Yup. Waste of money? Double yup. met 3 women on a pay site--all were nice and talk with 2 still. spent this june with one in taos NM painting landscapes. It was worth the 10 bucks a month----mingle??? I Like yabbering in here- But the women seem to just yabber as well-- But there nice- and its fun. |

the reason the last 2 years i haven't met anybody on here i wasnt interested in dating,i was working long weeks and wanted time to myself and just this year had gotten out of a bad relationship and had been fighting with my bipolar ex who apparently wont stop stalking me.
now ive been sick for almost a year and find myself out of a job.. now if damnitscloudy would make up his mind

I'm kinda new to this. and you're never gonna meet a soul mate sitting in your bedroom clicking on random profiles and blind emailing strange girls who never answer. you have to get out. these forums are a virtual version of getting out. make friends and meet their friends. and usually friends have some pretty good looking other friends |
