racists pieces of crap.

My dad called me to wake me up...and i check my emails...

and its a bunch of emails from these two guys calling me a N****er lover and that i should go back to africa with all the black people...and all that bull...

why do people do that? WHY? I consider myself colorblind when it comes to skin color? so why am i being harassed because my goddaughter, who is also my second cousin, is mixed and because i have friends who aren't as PALE AS ME. i don't get it.

do any of you get it?

my dad is rascit against blacks and mexicans
and it never made any sense as why he married my mom and they were married for 21yrs before they got divorced

my one cousin who is my dads nephew is married to a black lady and my dad would send him racist jokes to my cousin, and i told him you know why dont you tell him how you feel. tommy doesnt know how to i guess, so usually he just ignores him

well thats good. but my point being, my goddaughter is 11 months old. she can't do very much, and its family, i'm a lil overprotective and don't want her growing up in a world with racism...

but that is only a dream...it'll never be reality

hopefully. because i've dated guys who aren't white...i've been teased, harrassed, and threatened. i can't imagine what its like to be NOT white...

i really do hope when my goddaughter gets old enough to know whats going on in the world...that the world is a much nicer place than it is now.

Racist remarks should not be directed towards anyone, but to aim it at a child who cannot defend herself is atrocious, not to mention cowardly.

You can just do what you can to educate her. It's sort of funny to have to educate her about stupidity...

My son is eight, he still refers to people as brown, tan, etc. I asked him what color he was, and we both agreed he was sort of pinkish beige.

Today, racism is taught, mostly by family but sometimes by peers.

Some things I read long ago discussed the original reasons for racism. Women examine a newborn to check for defects as do many other creatures. Anything outside of the "norm" is cause for concern and sometimes rejection by the community which senses a genetic defect. Intellectually, we know that humans come in different colors, but thousands of years ago, anything that "looked" different was bad. After hundreds of generations, old habits are hard to change.

The type of hatred exhibited in racism is exhibited in other forms also. Extremists in the middle east are taught from birth to hate whites, Jews, Americans, Westerners, or even anyone who is not their specific sect of religion.

As long as hatred of others is taught from an early age, it will exist, i.e., the Hatfields and Mccoys.
