They may not mean to, or don't realize they are rude. Some may be trying to make a "funny", and it comes out sarcastic.

I admit to trying to inject humor into a conversation, and it sounds a bit sarcastic in the effort. I say...just take it with a grain of salt, because there are too many on here, with all kinds of personalities.

You may take something rude, when in essence...it's just a joke/kidding of some sort. This is just my opinion!

I dont know guys/gals. Just seems like people are generally pissed 24/7. I have my bad days I admit but damn, rudeness makes the world go round. I think people are ruder on here, not you guys though :-), than they would be in person. If only I could kick everyone's *** on here who gets on my nerves!

Rudness....It is funny you brought this up...I was just watching the news today and a gentlemen that studies our ethics says that we are on a down swing. All of this comes from our ever changing culture in that our apparnet noone cares attitude about want anyone says anymore. Unfortunatly there are more and more people that do not listen that little voice inside thier head "That tells them not to do that it is wrong". The collective study also suggests that this problem will only continue to get worse as time passes. If you read the Bible and are a believer you find that it would appear that we are in the beginnings of the "Great Tribulation" so brace yourself it is only going to continue to get worse.

Well, Ive found that more people in cities tend to be rude, because the city life makes you callous. Thats why I live in a little Redneck town(Not Tallahassee as my profile says).
I was living in Key Largo, but after Hurricane Andrew, tons of people from Miami and West Palm Beach started buying up properties, and I found them WAY too rude for my taste, one guy even made me cry, then said " Hey, I LIVE here" . They had no concern for the Island, the slow pace we had, the locals, or the fragile enviorment there. I was happier there, but Im a nicer person here- where if you break down in your car, people will offer you any and every type of help to get you safely on your way. That doesnt happen in a city usually.

many people are rude because they are unemployed, unattractive, and/or don't think they are getting what they deserve in life..

oh yah, throw in war on two fronts and the swine flu, bird flu, mad cow disease, and the imminent destruction of the world predicted in a few years

i concur with the someone's previous post, don't think it will get better, but worse..measured by indicators such as suicide, homicide, divorce, ect...

Eye contact. When you don't have eye contact everyone tends to be less polite. That's why when there's a road rage thing going on and then you see that they are going into the same bank you are you wait a minute in your car til they're gone.surprised

sometimes what other people perceive as rude isn't in fact and could be a host of other reasons, one being the recipient is overly sensitive.

I know what you mean. However I wonder if the tide isn't turning a little bit because people are starting to get greif for showing their nasty side. Serious fines even jail for road rage. Sports stars, musicians who shoot their mouth off get bad press even looseing sponsorships. I would like to see retail step up and start tossing hateful customers. I was in a new store the other day and some guy is screaming the "F"bomb into his cell phone at least twenty times. I am sure store security had to have him on camera. With video everywhere maybe some of these folks will get shut down. Hope so.

Some people are perpetually unhappy and like to share it.
