acountability and/or responsibility. two traits that are sorely missing in some of the population.

Loyalty. Because I give my loyalty. And I've seem to many people use honesty as a weapon to deliberately hurt and manipulate people.

When I decide that someone is a friend or that some thing is important and I give my loyalty to that person or group, I have to hope I have that same loyalty in return.

The down side is that sometimes it take me longer to see that the situation or friendship has changed over time and that perhaps it is no longer a good place for me or a good fit.

I'll have to say honesty, too. If you don't have that, what can you really trust?

I thought hard and read the thread carefully
If every one had a true, clear conscience at the end of every night before they went to sleep then all the qualities mentioned in the thread would have been met.

PS I don't believe I thought that

But if you only had to pick one, just one key thing that you could demand from all the people around you, what would it be?

I don't demand anything from anyone...flowerforyou

We all have personal values and social priorities, the things we enjoy in and need from other people ie. loyalty, honesty, generosity

But if you only had to pick one, just one key thing that you could demand from all the people around you, what would it be?

Would be really cool if they could use their mind to magically make Mountain Dew appear.

Courtesy. To be truely courteous you have to be honest, respectful, thoughtful, giving, mannerly, kind, patient, and to some degree at least have some common sense.
