Yeah. I never got exposed to that early. My folks listened to Johnny Cash and the likes. My older sister was singing "If I had a hammer"....... I feel your pain... |

I know more than a few will disagree, but I believe Kiss are the number one most overrated band of my lifetime. I understand they are professional showmen, but the music just sucks, at least to my ear. What sucks so bad about it? Granted, not every one of their songs is Grammy material, but that goes for any band. You'd think Gene Simmons would learn how to play the bass after almost 40 years...
Well, if he's still being successful after these 40 years, he's probably doing something right. However, if you personally don't feel as though he is, perhaps you could be kind enough to show him how it's done. I mean, 24 gold albums and over 80 million album sales worldwide tells me he's pretty much on the right track, but what do I know? |

I respect your musical tastes, but all the same being commercially successful does not necessarily mean selling a great product. It means you know how to market well. Kiss does that better than any band. I salute them for their business savvy, but not their music. |

I'll agree with that assessment. I mean, look at rap.

I'll agree with that assessment. I mean, look at rap. Indeed. |

Since I had very little use for most of the stuff that came out in the '90's, I cannot significantly contribute to this thread.

Wow. The most repetitive, dull song in history. I'm not a fan of any of the Seattle sound including Nirvana, but no 90's thread would be complete without it. Nirvana kicked @$$! I was never much of a fan of Nirvana. |
