Stephanie Meyer so trashed the vampire mythology...making it "girl-friendly". Good for her, as she's rich now, HOWEVER... 1) Vampires who can walk in the day? Ever heard of ultra-violet radiation? Gimme a break... 2) Again..."sparkly" vampires? Was Meyer indeed thinking of diamonds when she came up with this one? 3) Vampires with no fangs? Huh? 4) Vampire-squirrels, impressing their mate by scurrying up tall pine trees? SAVE YOURSELVES! THROW THAT ATTACKING VAMPIRE AN ACORN! 5) Some girl, all hung up on her looks: "My eyes change color, depending upon what color I'm wearing!" Edwards' eyes changed color. WHAT IF HE WORE A PINK SHIRT? WOULD THAT HAVE MADE HIM A TRUE, ALBINO VAMPIRE, LIKE A WABBIT? The greatest vampire movie I've ever seen: "Thrity Days of Night". |
