I have had quite good luck with the webcam. I got turned on to it via grandkids... I was only joking. I am not suggesting that you would ask for anything inappropriate. |

I was surprised on the couple of dates I've been on to be congratulated on looking like my profile picture. One woman related a couple of horror stories, the best of which was a nice guy she met online with a handsome trim profile picture. In person it proved that not only was the picture out of date he had become morbidly obese, with an obnoxious personality to boot. Questioned about this, uh, disconnect between image and reality, he became quite defensive and said he had put on a couple of pounds, so what? And, I like this, right after the meeting, as a preemptive strike, he emailed her and said there wasn't enough "chemistry" there for him to see her again. I'm kind of surprised to hear that guys would have this kind of vanity. I always thought that no matter how fat, bald, flatulent were were, with long shanks of hair growing out our back and ears that could be braided in ponytails, that we would have the innocent self-absorption to be sure that we were still devastatingly attractive to the opposite sex. So how common is it for people (men and women) to have profile pictures that don't tell the truth? Give me your most amusing/horrifying story. I am going to take the best anecdotes, pretend they are my own and present myself as much more interesting than I really am at parties. peter Wanna know a nice easy way to solve this problem??? If it hasn't been mentioned before... Buy a webcam. Ask the other person you are talking to if they have one. Cams are cheap, and a very simple solution. That way, you can see them before you actually meet them. |

and on really good days, Mr. Hanky, the christmas poo. i'm still attempting to look like my bikes at times, but i'm having severe trouble breaking and rebending my bone structure, and i look really stupid doing it. If we all buy you a beer and chant your name, will you please do either one of these and post a picture? FINALLY! Something worthwhile to see on the internet. that's funny as hell, and well...............yes.........i would!

I really don't see why people get all caught up about pictures. They are a blink in time and rarely would anyone purposefully post a picture that shows them in less than flattering situation or pose. The reality is people usually look very different day to day. Do people fall in love for only a moment or who a erson is for the day to day?
