What are your favorites? I like the tropical blends and habenero. Last time I was in New Orleans every store seemed to have a thousand kinds. Any regional ones or maybe a recipe or two?

Oh wow -- I love a flavorful hot sauce!
My favorite, everyday sauce I use as seasoning is the Jalapeno Tabasco. I always buy the Hooters Hot Sauce too for dipping veggies. Even though I am a vegetarian, I will find anything to dip or sprinkle: bread, fries, veggies, scrambled eggs, potatoes, rice, and I BBQ anything I can, etc. YUMMY! Trader Joes has great stuff. |

I grew my own Jalapeños last year and then I made my own Chipolte sauce........I smoked them for a couple of hours over oak and hickory...it was really thick and delicious

There is this place not far from where I live, they have this sauce you need to sign a legal waver to have, I forget the name of the business off hand but it was "the name of their business" 's atomic sauce.
I am a hot sauce fan, so I origionally tried the hot they can legally serve, and after laughing I went straight for their hottest. |

I have probably a dozen bottles of different types of hot sauce. Tabasco and jalapeno Tabasco are favorites because of the good balance between flavor and heat.
More as a joke than anything else, I was given a bottle of Viscous Viper as a present. This hot sauce is basically the pure essence of the chemical (capsicum) in pepper that causes the heat. No matter how much you like the "hot" hot sauces, this stuff will hurt you! The adobo sauce that Chipolte peppers are canned with is an excellent hot sauce that is not well known. Recently, chefs have been using it to enhance many Southwestern dishes. It is unbeatable for flavoring chilis and stews, as well as any dish you might use hot sauce to brighten. |

It is unbeatable for flavoring chilis and stews, as well as any dish you might use hot sauce to brighten. I've seen several recipes using that as one of the ingredients in the sauce. I found a can of it but have not had a chance to put it to use. I guess around here the main sauce is Tabasco or Texas Pete's. |

I get this stuff from a local Asian market. I can't remember the name, but it has a rooster on the label. Why a rooster?, I have no idea, but that **** is hot. And tasty.

I only like hot sauce/Tabasco on eggs in restaurants. Not sure why....
But I do use just plain buffalo hot sauce on chicken, will marinate it then bake, then add more after it's cooked. It's awesome for sandwiches and in salad. |

any true hotsauce nut would need to know about blairs. he is the leading magician in the buisness. his is the hottest you can ever hope to get,, his 16,000,000 reserve is as hot as you could ever find. he makes all his own sauces and tries them, even though imo anyone who tried the 16 mil reserve is a flaming moron. I do like Da Bomb's line though.
