I'm a huge lover of horror books!
My top four being:: IT by Stephen King Second Child by John Saul and Intensity and TICK TOCK both by Dean Koontz. I love each three's writing style and love stories even more when they have a touch of paranormal in them. (although I haven't been known to put down a good murder mystery) |

|
The Dark Half by Stephen King (sparrows creep me out cause of this book) The Island by Richard Laymon (very disturbing) and the third book in the Chesapeake Bay saga by Nora Roberts. Cant remember the title right now just that I cried my eyes out.

Lessee, I'm currently reading some books on homesteading, and throughly enjoying all the info.
My favorites are usually what I'm reading. LOL! I'm easy, but I so enjoy reading! |

Other than my own books (I may be biased), I particularly enjoyed John Updike's "Rabbit" series, Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged," the aforementioned Douglas Adams "Hitchhiker" series, and anything and everything by Nietzsche.

I hate to admit it, because I used to be such an avid reader when I was a kid, but now I only read 3 or 4 books a year.
A book I could read again and again, every few years, is "The Old Man and the Sea," by Hemingway. I get a little more out of it, every time. |

i loved pillars of the earth!! i had no idea that there was a sequel. Yeah, it came out I guess sometime in the last year. It's called World Without End. It was ok. But, if you're expecting something along the lines of Pillars of the Earth, it's somewhat disappointing. Not nearly as well-written. Still, I'm glad I read it. |

thats a bit discouraging. still i will be adding it to my list of books to buy.

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follette. But, didn't much care for the sequel. I liked that one, too, although it may have been a bit long....! Some others of his I thought were good: The Modigliani Scandal, Code to Zero, The Hammer of Eden. |

Some others of his I thought were good: The Modigliani Scandal, Code to Zero, The Hammer of Eden. I don't recall whether I've read any others by him or not. I've read so many books, I can't keep them straight. I have a bad habit of buying books I've already read. But I'll look them up next time I'm at the used book store. |
