i see a crowd gather looking at the ground
a young woman has been shot and robbed
they offer no comfort,just look around
so i go and hold her as she sobs,
shes bleeding bad, breathing in sighs
and her blood now covers me,
she wont be alone when she dies,
i'll give her comfort until she's free,
with a shuddering gasp she looks up at me
greatful for my compassionate heart,
and in her eyes i can see
that it's time for her to depart,
i hold her close and give my love,
to a girl i do not know,
noone should ever die alone
and to her thats what i show,
as i feel her slip away,
from the corner of my eye i see,
the spirit of her inner child,
waving and smiling at me,
she slowly starts to drift away
the tears flood from my eyes,
just her way of saying thank you,
before her spirit flies
