Of course as with all IT people we always think our way is right even when there usually is 10 other ways that get to the same location just fine.

That being said....

MAC/Apples suck, although just because the common business market place today runs on IBM compatible machines which of course trickles down to the end user. Security is the best here, because hackers tend to stay mainstream.

Security within in Windows however can be quite complex especially for the average user, but I wouldn't go so far as to say hacked out of the box.

Microsoft thinking sensibly and cheap?

Vista is perfectly find if you know how to trim the fat, although it's encumber some?

All programs are currently working fine for the 32bit version of Windows 7. It's the 64bit where you find yourself thinking of alternatives.

What are you people doing not running the Windows 7RC client while it's free anyways?

Have fun,

White

Windows 7's the way to go imho. XP works well but is getting on in years & lacking features. Vista just plain sucks.

I still enjoy XP.. My next OS will be linux. As for Macs, any OS that claims security as it's best feature is crap. Macs are simply untargeted, so is linux. Windows is by and large the most used, tested, prodded, and probed OS. Bare that in mind when yall make the very relative comparison of securities.

Vista is definitely junk. Haven't had time to play with Windows 7 yet but am looking forward to it. For now I'll continue to run Linux and XP on my machines.

If I didn't have to test software once in a while for windows users I wouldn't have windows at all.

I would say, the best example would be between Vista and Win7 , is like going from Windows95 to win98. Looks same, feels same, but it's different. In a good way, and yet I still didn't really like it or didn't think that it was a huge change.
