Where did you propose or were proposed to?

My late husband planned an elaborate weekend long time together the middle includeing me being dressed up and him in his Dress blues at a very public affair where he formally introduced me, got down on his knee with our gold bands (what is allowed on duty) and proposed in front of all of the officers and wives of the Batallion among other Big Shots I new from my work and volunteering. Totally to my surprise I finnally recover, say yes then they did this traditional presentation of a toasting cup where he first toasts me then they all bring out their unit toasting cups and toast us. Then the next morning he drives me up Mt Rainer and presents me with a portrait of my himself and my sons and tells me we will be eventually be sent to the opposite coast for a significant promotion that will be followed closely by a command assignment where we would build a home. We went ring shopping that afternoon for the wedding diamonds and some of the things for our wedding/honeying moon.

i remember laughing at (with - as he was sort of laughing too) him as i thought it was just a joke and was really taken completely by surprise.

Hummm only been married once he proposed to me while we were in bed........... got married at the JP's Office............... lasted 11 years.......if it ever happens again they better do it with all the romance on bended knee and in the right setting heehehe I want it at least one time the fairy tale way.............that is if it was to ever happen again................

I have been proposed to once and married once totally not the same guys. My ex husband and i mutually agreed to get married. It lasted 3 years. Then i was proposed to november last year the day before thanksgiving. He took me to dinner, took me to see a movie, then when we got home he tied the ring to his dogs neck and proposed. He was so nervous. But that ended the last day of april when he broke up with me in the middle of the gulf of mexico on a cruise ship. The next man i hope is very romantic. And i really want a fairy tale wedding.
