Well, I am on Mingle, but no longer single and looking. What I did was just goof off in the forums for a couple months. I ran across one of those posts about never getting any good e mails from men. I checked her out and she struck my interests as a potential friend. So I mad a reply post telling her that I could write her something she wouldn't complain about. She approved of my request so I wrote her. We exchanged a few more e mails, never really intending for things to go beyond a friendship, but they have and she has since become the love of my life.

You're on mingle and you are single and looking. Do you search the members or do you try the mutual match or what? Do you randomly email or nudge people? here is what I do. I only nudge or email who shows a slight interest in me. Someone who either nudges me, emails me, looks at my profile or somewhere in a thread says something to me, that sounds like she is interested. I don't search I dont' do mutual match and I don't pick anyone randomly. I don't even nudge or email those who look attractive, unless they show a slight interest in me first. This might make me look like I don't initiate, but through the many months I mutual matched and randomly emailed people I liked and 99% of the time I didn't get any response back. So I find that as a waste of time, instead i'm just gonna wait until someone sends me a signal first. If ya weren't so far away and so young I'd go out with ya...   and so young  yeah..I'm just so young. well hon, you are 15 years younger than I am.. that would makes ya young in my book.  What a book you have. The book of my mind.. my mind book, yea thats it. The one that says I could have been a mama at 15 although I wasn't, I was 24... I have a 25 year old son and his friends range from 20-30... they just seem so young to me. |
