I have tattoos and all of them mean something very special to me. I got my first one at the young age of 17....yeah, a benefit of having divorced parents, my mom was more pissed at my dad than at me because he took me to get it. It was a single rose on my right hand between my thumb and first finger. Since then I have added another rose and my daughter's initials above each rose. Their names are the only names I would ever have permanently inked on my body (besides my parents). I also have one on my left hip. I got it before I had kids, needless to say it needs to be worked on. The last one I got is on my lower back and I love it. I have had the one on my hand for so long I forget it's even there unless someone says something about it. I work in a newspaper office and am used to dealing with people all day, no one has ever said anything negative about it. Well, unless you count the number of times I've been asked if it was mine and my husband's initials...the only response I have come up with is Hell no! Do I really look that stupid??? I also have my nose pierced.

Well I have both..I have a tribal butterflytat on my upper back & love it want to get a few more but want them to be where I can hide them if I want.the ppiercings tongue & navel..thinking about getting a few more but not sure waiting til I am certain..
