All of the taxes are high ... that doesn't seem to stop people from drinking and smoking though...

I have American friends who saved for 4 years to afford the hospital stay when they had a baby. There were complications and the baby didn't survive ... and I don't know if they will ever dig their way out of the hospital debt that ensued ...

It is all relative

just like any subject people leave out what they care to ..so you have to have more than one source to for an opinion..

everything ..meaning everything they choose to tell me..just like anybody body else..bigsmile

true ... I am very aware of the issues and open about them - I also know that the way the government is trying to solve them isn't going to work. A problem can't be solved by the same mind that created it. It happens everywhere...

That doesn't mean that I am not still grateful for what we do have bigsmile

great analogy .. a problem can't be solved buy the same mind that created the problem..drinker we have that going on right her now.. Mortgage systems and banking the same knuckle heads that created the problem in the first place are going to fix it..never happengrumble

What's good about my country?

It's big....and the human population is relatively small.

It's an island in the middle of nowhere.

The only traditional culture is the Indigenous one....the rest is a melting pot of every culture.

It's wild and tempestuous....untamed and unforgiving.

Our animals are unique.

It's diverse and all encompassing.

Big skies.

Long views.

It's home.
