I wish they would just vote on the damn thing, I'm sick of hearing about it.

But, the more they distract themselves from voting, the better off we'll all be! :)

The House version and Senate version will be so different they'll spend another year in conference committees.

Yes I am sure many that would like to shut this down think the same exact thing, sadly.

How about the liberty of being free from being bankrupted by medical bills?

It would be great if the private sector provided the health care that we need. But the fact is, it doesn't.

As little government as possible. As much as is necessary.

HEAR HEAR!!!

Like a car, either we fix what we got or we junk it. A lot of times you cannot just go out and by a new car. You have to fix what you got.

The systems we have can be fixed but congress needs to become more responsible! We as voters need to get out and vote.

I am uninsured. There is no way I can afford it. I am not about to demand the government make someone else pay for me like many of these poor "the world owes me a living" types. I make no bones about it, I am not exactly poor but I am not doing all that well either. I try very hard to pull my own weight. Sadly most and I mean 90% of Americans do not share my work ethic. Get a job or get training! I am sick and tired of seeing these drug addict a@@holes on every freeway off ramp in LA with signs, "Homeless and Hungry, will work for food." If they were really looking for work they would do what the Hispanics here do and hang out at Home Depot looking for work, not hand outs.

We need to address the greed and profiteering LONG LONG LONG before we impose another doomed to fail program on the American people!

What the hell part of the words 'Financial Responsibility' do you Liberals not want to get? If we haven't got the money where are we supposed to get it from. Do you think even remotely I can afford to throw more money into a system that is not putting a roof over my head or food in my stomach? I can BARELY afford rent and the other expenses needed to maintain myself like Fuel for the car, food, and utilities. Now I got to get taxed even more to support some drug addict son of a beyatch or some illegal immigrant?

Some people get it but some of you DON'T. AS long as you got your comfy life style what does anything matter to you?

Don't show your face in my neighborhood spouting this whole 'Obamacare is Good' crap because if I don't rob you my neighbors might! I need the money!

(I hope you are smart enough to realize I am being sarcastic! Then again...spock )

A bit arrogant aren't you? I also can not afford insurance. But I am not begging for it either, if it happens great if not, oh well, I'll deal with it. I do all my own home repairs and hell most of the home repairs in my neighborhood. My normal work is computers but the economy has slowed that down to a crawl. I own my own home and vehicle out right and do whatever it takes to pay the bills. Mow lawns, landscaping, home repair, whatever. I don't sit around whining about how much harder I have to work, or about what I can't have right now or about people that are scaming the system. There are tons of people out there that didn't do anything to deserve the way things are right now, and you can bet the insurance companies don't give a damn either. I worry about them, not the scammers and the greedy..

There have always been people that scam both rich and poor, but I don't b%tch about it endlessly. There are more people that are worthy of help than those that might not be, but I don't know who is who so I am not going to judge them.

I am a liberal and proud to be a liberal, but we are not all comfy and out of touch. I don't think you are being sarcastic, I think your being mean spirited and whiney.

I dont' want to live in a 3rd world situation, or live in the damn past. It's not the 30's.....

I never realized how many people subscribe to the notion WE CANT...

Well I don't own a house, I do own my car outright. I do whatever it takes to pay my bills as well. It isn't arrogance, it is my dislike of incompetence. Would you pay for a service poorly performed? For example you order a Meat Lovers Pizza and pay by plastic but when you get it it is a cheese pizza and on top of that the delivery guy dropped it. THAT IS OUR GOVERNMENT! See where I am coming from?

Well not a good example for me. I didn't eat out so that I could pay my home off in 15 years instead of 30. If you don't like incompetence why don't you own your own home by your age? Seems to me you are no better off than those that live paycheck to paycheck. And not much better off than the people you complain about, because if something happens that you have no control of, you are right there with them.

You better hope for a public plan or a bullet if you get sick. And god help you if you become so sick you can't work, because if you fellow man thinks like you do, your scr$wed.

I'm not fond of incompetence myself, but stuff happens, and if you are not prepared your just as bad off as others. Seem to me you'd rather blame regular folks than the corporations that make insurance impossible to afford and are more concerned with their bottom line than your health. Heaven forbid there are some good people in the government that would like to see the damn insurance companies have competition to prevent them from ripping people off or taking their money and giving them nothing.

Now that is just plain arrogance. I live in LA. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to live here let alone property values being artificially inflated. Thanks to Obama the banks are flush with money so they are not compelled to drop prices. Landlords are just beginning to realize they overpriced themselves when their units are empty and there is a rash of vacancies here and I mean a lot more than I have seen in years. I service a number of realtors doing things like Code Compliance for Escrow. Needles to say property is just not selling no matter what the media says. If properties were selling I would be doing more work than whatever I can scrounge up. Don't tell me to buy when I can't even save any money because bills suck it out faster than I can make it thanks to all the rate increases and new fees. Take a good look at CA. The sales tax went up to 9.75% (ROUND UP!) so what do you think that did to domestic sales?

Please, now you want to add a new tax they will take directly from what little I have in my bank account? Gee, I wonder how my land lord would take it if my rent check bounced because of a government deduction tapped right from my bank account I didn't know about or they took more than I could afford!

Damn if people act like they are blind!

Thought you would think it was arrogant, now you know how you sound. As for CA being expensive, I know that, it's one reason I left there years ago, and why I bought when it was reasonable to do so but not in CA, in Florida. My first home I bought and paid off in half the time, doing all the remodeling myself, saving thousands. When my second home's insurance and the local economy was beginning to squeeze out the services folks like me, I sold immediately and moved on again.

When things begin to go sour you move on, and that is what I did. I did what I had to do. With your skills I have to wonder why you didn't do something earlier some where more affordable for you.

I'm not blind I just paid attention to the warning signs.

I see you fell for part of that distraction, that threat on the right that says you have the votes so go for it, they want the left to go it alone so it makes them look like they were the good guys that were against it all along. Geez don't you know when someone is using psychology on you? If you don't blame the opposition for what is going on then you are naive at the amount of money the opposition is spending to burn this thing.

Personally I wish they would just tell the opposition on both sides to stuff it and just go for it, but I understand why they want cooperation, though I don't see them getting it.

Everyone is sick of it, no just you.

I agree that alot of people are sick of the whole thing..

What I don't understand from your last post is how is this a republican ploy?

The democrats really do have large majorities in both chambers of congress..

If this bill is so great, as we are made to believe from its proponents, then why not pass it?

If it is the answer to everyone's prayers, then why wouldn't the democrats want that in their back pocket, and use it every election against the republicans?

I wish you would not pretend you don't know why they won't just pass it on their own, unless you don't listen to both sides and the kind of craziness this has caused. There are people on both sides wanting to shut this down, but mostly on the right, and tell me you don't know that no republican supports it? I am sick of following the damn news and having to switch channels constantly to keep up with both sides.

I am so sick of trying to explain things to folks that are only listening to people on their own side of the issue. You have to listen carefully to both sides to know where each side is twisting the facts.

The opposition really doesn't need to lift a finger to kill this at this point, the damage has already been done by misinformation, all they have to do now is maintain the level of BS and they should accomplish their goal to stop it.

So be it, if you want to know why people become apathetic, just look around at the negativity and the stubborn partisonship even among the people.
